This two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium offers an ideal location in the midst of one of Santa Barbara's now-famous urban neighborhoods. The home proudly occupies a front-row seat to all this area has to offer.

Enter the house at street level from the attached garage, a rare commodity in this part of the city. Then, ascend the stairs to the main salon with vaulted ceilings, television, a supple grey leather sectional/sofa sleeper, and a fireplace that adds an element of warmth and coziness to the home. After preparing a delicious feast in the kitchen, the dining room or the covered terrace with barbecue and a table for four offer the perfect landing for any meal. With a pretty "Juliet" balcony overlooking the colorful, bougainvillea-studded Spanish-style complex, the home's primary suite has a king-size bed, and an attached bathroom with a luxurious oval soaking tub, a spacious shower, and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom features two twin beds. The laundry room and a hall bathroom with a shower complete the conveniences offered, but this is only the beginning to a memorable stay.  

When it comes time to explore, it is simply a matter of walking out the front door on foot! Purveyors of eclectic art, style, wine, recreation, craft ale, and more set the stage for sheer enjoyment with something for everyone. The Funk Zone spans a several-block radius on the south side of Highway 101 and caters to Santa Barbara's energetic, culturally curious, contemporary side. MOXI, the Wolf Museaum of Exploration will cater to the kids curiosity too and is just a couple blocks away. The complex is also next to Santa Barbara's busiest European-style deli, Metropolis. Order up a sandwich on freshly-baked artisan bread, indulge in hand-made baklava, or browse the shelves for gourmet grocery items not found anywhere else in town and fill your pantry to overflow. 

The area attracts locals and world travelers alike, offering an endless array of opportunities to mix and mingle, sip and socialize, taste and treasure hunt, or just sit on the second-story balcony above it all and watch the day unfold.  

And remember, this area borders Cabrillo Boulevard, where the enticing blue coastal waters and miles of wide sandy beaches and the boardwalk await. Within minutes of Casita del Mar, there is a year-round open invitation to take advantage of all forms of recreation. Sail, paddle board, kayak, play volleyball all day long, or simply languish in the sun and surf. The new walking promenade Downtown, nearby Stearn's Wharf,  and The Harbor have more great places to dine and devour local fare and are the final punctuation to a perfect Santa Barbara vacation here.

Would Definitely Stay Again!
This is a beautiful two bedroom condo in a fantastic location in the heart of Santa Barbara's funk zone. We enjoyed being within just a a couple blocks of so many restaurants and bars. Proximity to beach and Cabrillo is amazing if you like walks or activities on the beach. Staff was very professional and easy to work with. Would definitely stay again!
